Skip the meta stuff (I would like to start talking about) and just make the arguments that you are going to make—gotta highlight this card down and not focus so much of your time on it, so you can get a diverse set of arguments, especially including some offense—you have chosen some good new cards, but you have to use them to extend previous arguments, if you do have time to read more cards, make sure they come after those extensions

make sure that you are responding to things in 2ac order, follow the structure of first refutation—you may want to begin by explaining the link story or the overall position of this argument—ideally try to work these arguments into your kritik or get them out somewhat in the 1nc, so that you don’t have to develop it new later in the debate—if you are going to bother to say anything about the abuse argument still, make sure you have an impact to it, I think its time for it to go—make sure you have an overview of some sort,that will also help to clarify your advocacy, what is it that I am voting for at the end of the debate, an alternative? The status quo?

Soren—why does an efficient economy matter?—you have a lot of confidence, don’t let that spill over into repeating your really strong claims—
Tournament Round 1—Baxter
Soren—you need to focus on responding to each argument in turn, going through them in the 2ac orer, respectin the flow—your voice sounds pretty good and there is a good deal of confidence coming there—you also need to get into the analysis of their arguments, what is the story of your cap k, what does it mean and why is that a good thing—good response to the theory stuff, just get a bit more into it and fired up,, that starts to be more evident a minute or so into the speech—2nr needs a strong and clear overview, whats the story that you are looking to win the debate on
